Becoming a Member
Membership in Lunar Sanctuary Church is free, voluntary, and open to all adults age 21 and older who sincerely hold these religious beliefs. By joining, you become part of a community of spiritual seekers united by reverence for the sacred gifts of the natural world.
Our membership is not a commercial transaction — it is a spiritual covenant. Members affirm their sincere religious belief in the sacramental significance of plant medicines and their role in personal spiritual practice, healing, and communion with the divine.
Your Membership Card
Upon completing email verification and affirming your religious beliefs, you will receive a digital Lunar Sanctuary Church Membership Card. This card serves as a personal record of your sincere religious affiliation and your status as a verified member of this church.
The membership card is intended to support your exercise of First Amendment religious liberties in your private worship. It affirms, in writing, that your use of sacramental substances is an expression of sincere religious belief — a right protected under the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA) and the First Amendment to the United States Constitution.
The Supreme Court has affirmed, in Gonzales v. O Centro Espírita Beneficente União do Vegetal (2006), that the government must accommodate sincere religious exercise involving sacramental substances absent a compelling governmental interest pursued by the least restrictive means.

- Adults 21 years of age or older
- Individuals who sincerely hold religious beliefs in the spiritual significance of plant medicines
- Those committed to responsible, intentional, and private sacramental practice
Membership is not open to minors. We verify age as part of the enrollment process.
What Membership Means
As a member, you gain access to our Sacred Offerings — sacramental items available through voluntary donation to support the church and its mission. All transactions are acts of religious devotion, not commercial sales. The church operates as a private religious association; its offerings are available exclusively to verified members.

By joining Lunar Sanctuary Church, you affirm:
- You are 21 years of age or older

- You intend to use any sacramental offerings solely for personal religious worship and not for resale or distribution
- You understand that you are responsible for knowing and complying with the laws of your jurisdiction
- You understand that church membership does not constitute legal advice and does not guarantee immunity from prosecution
